Rodman delivers two Rodman 66 Training Boats to the Spanish Navy

The Rodman 66, baptized as "Isla Pinto" has been delivered this morning at the Rodman facilities in Meira - Moaña. The boat left the Vigo estuary bound for Ferrol.

The vessel delivered this morning is a Coastal Surveillance Patrol Boat, 21 m in length, which reaches a maximum speed of 32 knots. She has capacity for a crew of 16 people on board, who will have cabins for everyone.

It is equipped with two 1380 CV engines each and a fuel capacity of 6,000 L. At economic speed the range is 500 miles.

The delivered boat is similar to the previous ones delivered to the navy of the same Rodman 66 model, designed taking into account all the technical and functional requirements, demanded by the owner, to adapt in the best possible way to the use that the boat will have in its final destination.

The new patrol boat will have its base port in Melilla, where it will receive full support through the city's Naval Command. It will be integrated into the Maritime Action Force, under the command of the Units dependent on Cartagena (Comarcart).

The design and construction of these vessels has followed the procedures and quality standards established in the PECAL/AQAP 2110 certification, which includes the NATO requirements for quality assurance in the construction of vessels for the Defense sector.

During the official tests and the delivery ceremony, held at the Rodman Polyships, SAU facilities in Meira – Moaña, representatives of the Spanish Navy expressed their satisfaction with the vessel and its features that they were able to verify during the official tests. made prior to delivery.

The delivery of this new patrol boat model consolidates Rodman's position as one of the world leaders in the construction of professional GRP vessels. All the professional boats and recreational boats built by the shipyard are recognized and highly valued by the most demanding shipowners, as well as by organizations and government administrations around the world.
